2011 5th leadership retreat achieves consensus on regional strategy,
         plus implementation principles and priorities

2010 4th leadership retreat approves core strategy recommended by community
         Plan presented and approved at workshop coordinated by key donors

2009 Major workshop develops structure of strategy,
         working groups assigned to different elements
         Second major workshop develops integrated strategy

2008 - September:  presented our approach and progress to the world and Janet Museveni at the
         Civil Society Fair in Fort Portal, Uganda
July
: jointly led a well-received seminar: "Taking Charge of Development" in Washington at the
         International Food Policy Research Institute
April
: achieved regional leadership consensus on how to manage development
         and agreed the key priority initiatives at the "Kasunga 3" retreat
February
: achieved consensus on the right approach from the administrative leaders of all the
         Districts in our region

 2007 - February: presented initial survey findings at University in Western Uganda, beginning the
         dialogue that has led to major pilot activity
 July to December: developed a plan to enable local ownership with key local players
